Kings Park Perth

The park is in two distinct parts. There is your standard botanical garden, with labels and manicured beds. Then there is the wild part. The vegetation in the various deserts is unique to that biome. They reproduced the flora faithfully and I could recognize the forests and plains through which we had just driven.

I took my binoculars along of course. I picked up two new species. But most of the birds would hide among thick foliage and thumb their nose at me. I know what all their invisible tweets were.

The facility has a splendid bookstore/souvenir shop. We went out with 20 lb of bolds. And that is a good day.
