We arrived in fine fettle and disembarkation went smoothly. End of smoothness. Everyone in the US said make Australian travel arrangements in Australia. It is Saturday. Every agency that survived COVID is closed weekends.

And the first cool bird I saw here, a small ibis that robs unwary picnickers, is not in my bird book.
We arrived COVID free. The Majestic Princess, moored beside the opera house, landed with 800 cases.
I count my lucky stars.
