We have left Hawai’i behind. Five days from now we will raise Bora Bora. This of course is assuming the navigator knows his stuff. He hasn’t led us astray yet.
So what does one do at sea for five days when the scenery is a straight line?Twenty years ago I started an ambitious quilt, grandma’s flower basket. Pieced baskets with a different flower in each one. Twenty years later I decided the project is the only handwork I’m bringing. If I want to do needlework it’s that or nothing.
It’s working! I have completed the embroidered flowers for three patches, bleeding heart, delphinium, and stargazer lily. Keeping up my journal and doing blogs does the day.
Oh, and the NYT’s game Spelling Bee. So far I have successfully avoided Wordle.
Birds? Not a feather. But I keep watching.
God bless you all
